Praise GOD for another wonderful time in the Word of GOD. Genesis Ch 25 tells of the last years of Abraham's life. He and his family was truly Blessed of GOD. It is amazing the heart for GOD that Abraham had. Verse 8 shows even in death Abraham's testimony was full of GOD (died in a good old age, an old man and full of years).I can't see where it even suggests that Abraham had regrets or even a thought..Maybe I'm not what I should be for GOD..sell out to the world and miss out on the Blessings from GOD..GOD help us to stand for HIM regardless of fleshly, worldly gratification and give All Honor to GOD!!! I believe he actually spent every day of his long life submitted ... See Moreto GOD and thus it showed through the Blessings of GOD on his entire family and country. In vs 19-34 tells us after his fathers death Issac kept the torch held high for GOD (vs 21) by trusting his wife Rebekah's barren state to GOD and GOD granted his prayer by blessing them with children (Jacob and Esau,vs 21-26 which was promised of GOD to be two seperate nations, the one stronger than the other and the elder shall serve the younger. Given in vs 27-34 we see that the elder brother, Esau, has entitlement or the birthright (I believe heir to all the promises of GOD as was fullfilled through Abraham)..But vs 33 shows that due to physical circumstances, lack of faith, moment of weakness..Esau sold his birthright to Jacob (the younger), just as GOD had said would happen (vs 23). Dear Christian..What will it take for us to sell out for worldly and fleshly pleasures and miss GOD!!
